The rock texture is incredibly realistic, and the cave opening is just the right size for my cichlid to dart in and out. With the red lighting behind it, the whole tank looks like an underwater eruption scene — my fish use it constantly.
My betta claimed the cave within an hour and now sleeps tucked inside it instead of behind the filter. The holes and ledges give him plenty of spots to poke through, and it sits solid on the gravel without wobbling.
The texture on this lava rock looks way more natural than the smooth resin caves I've bought before, and the openings are big enough that my cichlids actually use it instead of ignoring it. Pairs nicely with the bubbler too if you're going for that volcano scape look.
