Large Mahogany Pods (8 Pack)
Category: Aquarium Aquatic Aquascaping Botanicals
An excellent all-round aquarium botanical, Mahogany Pods are equally at home in blackwater aquariums, vivariums, and terrariums. Their bold shape and naturally vivid surface patterns add instant character to any scape, while their durable structure provides shelter, grazing surfaces, and long-lasting visual interest.
Mahogany pods are a favourite among freshwater shrimp, which actively graze on the biofilm that develops across the pod’s textured surface. With a slow, gentle tannin release, they are ideal for aquascapers who want natural aesthetics with minimal water staining, making them perfect for lightly tinted blackwater or mixed biotope setups.
All Castle Dawn Aquatics botanicals are organically sourced and naturally sun-dried without the use of chemicals or ethanol.
