Elephant Ear Pods are a striking and highly functional botanical choice for both blackwater aquariums and bioactive terrariums. Their thick, woody structure ensures slow degradation, making them a durable and long-lasting addition to natural aquascapes and enclosure setups.

When scattered throughout the aquarium, these pods create excellent hideaways for small fish, shrimp, and invertebrates, while also introducing a unique turmeric-yellow tone that adds visual depth and contrast to leaf-litter-style blackwater environments.

Their textured surface encourages biofilm growth, providing a natural grazing surface for Caridina and Neocaridina shrimp, as well as Plecos and other bottom-dwelling species.

All our botanicals are organically sourced, free from harmful pesticides, and naturally sun-dried without the use of chemicals.

My shrimp and snails went straight for these within an hour of me dropping a few in. The woody pods hold up way better than Indian almond leaves and haven't gone mushy after two weeks. Twenty in the pack means I can rotate them through both tanks for months.

Dropped these into my betta’s tank for a blackwater setup, and they sink right away without needing to boil first. They’ve been in for three weeks now and still look intact, so the slow breakdown is real for the price. My shrimp are already picking at the surface, which is exactly what I hoped for.

Hazel J. ★★★★★

The thick, woody texture really does hold up—three weeks in my terrarium and they’re still intact, just starting to soften and break down nicely. The pods add a natural, dark aesthetic that my frogs seem to appreciate.
