Whole Trumpet Cariniana Pods (10 Pack)
Category: Aquarium Aquatic Aquascaping Botanicals
Inspired by the natural beauty of the Amazon basin, Castle Dawn Aquatics Cariniana Pods are a favourite among blackwater aquascapers and breeders. With their trumpet-like, hollow structure, these botanicals serve as ideal spawning sites for Apistogramma, plecos, corydoras, and otocinclus, while also acting as safe shelters for small Betta species, particularly the coccina complex.
Their fibrous inner surface helps promote biofilm and fungal growth, creating natural feeding grounds for shrimp and bottom dwellers. These pods gradually release medium levels of tannins, enriching your water with beneficial compounds that help soften pH and replicate authentic South American blackwater conditions.
